I wish I could have gone to precsiely the right line, but i just settled for a youtube clip.

When I was at Razorfish one of the things we were telling the Hulu team was that given the way that consumers get value from making references to media, they're just leaving money on the table if you can't embed/share custom clips. I think it's one of the smarter things they've ended up doing, but it's not the focus of their efforts.

I wish the MPAA were a little less paranoid, and less worried about suing their customers- they should have launched this in 2006. Go get em!

Re: I've joined AnyClip – and we've launched Casting Couch

congratulations nate i can't wait to hear about the progress. come home already though nyc misses you.

Re: I've joined AnyClip – and we've launched Casting Couch

Congratulations Nate. How exactly does this make our lives better? A new way to organize video? Wow. Tagging friends in videos for facebook is cutesy, but that's all. What value does it produce, in our lives or as a business? It's frustrating that really talented people are making applications that have no real value in the world. Instead of playing around on the net, use talent and creativity to attack critical problems in people's lives and in the world.

I'm surprised the other commenters here are so excited about this when there are people out there trying to innovate solutions to actual issues. Even more surprising is that VC money flows to such cutesy things, while funding for real challenges like energy innovation is drying up.

Re: I've joined AnyClip – and we've launched Casting Couch

Congrats, Nate!
